Project in the spotlight: 17 West
This business complex was built by Steenoven along the E17 motorway, near the Waregem exit. MUTEC sealed approximately 7,500 m² above the sheds and 3,000 m² above the offices.
On these offices, a standard structure with sloping concrete, vapour barrier and insulation was replaced by the "PROFIM roof system" from Applis. This system can be applied on all surfaces and is therefore extremely suitable for new construction and renovation projects. This system is finished with a cement layer to which our TPO film has been glued. The WTCB mapped out this unique roof structure in function of the wind loads on the basis of pull-out tests.
The roofs of the sheds are composed of concrete TT beams with a polyethylene vapour barrier on top, a 10 cm thick layer of PIR insulation and finally the TPO roof waterproofing, all mechanically fastened.
Furthermore, all roof surfaces visible from the offices were finished with a green roof, type ZinCo. These works were coordinated by MUTEC.
